A forest of ideas.

Pivots.
Writing is a great filter, and I have a heaping pile of ideas and plans to action.
The question is, where should they be written? In a pen & paper journal? Social media?
I write regularly on X/Twitter, because it's still (despite it's massive flaws) a great discovery platform. I've met business partners, friends, enemies and more in my short term there. It's helped me hone my craft, and it's shown me many things I need to avoid.
I tried regular e-mails. They were a massive energy drain, and didn't align with my goals as closely as I hoped. I was drawn in by the success stories—people living their dreams off the backs of their e-mail lists. My circumstances are different though, and so it requires different focus. I may go back to these, but they're being relegated to "less frequently".
Ideas in silo are wasted. There is a time for honing your own thoughts in private, but I use my pen & paper journal for this. For the rest, or when I feel really passionate about a concept, I want to share it. I want to talk about it!
Again, we pivot.
Hello, blogging like it's 2005!
I whipped this site together using Framer in ~2 days. It has more visual appeal than my old Geocities site that would auto-play Linkin Park when the page loaded, so there's that!
Social Media is fickle, and I've always liked the idea of ownership. Somewhere I can plant my flag. The web is littered with 1,000,000+ words written by me… it's time to start tugging on the threads and curate them here.
Write quickly, write often.
Writing has been the most transformative skill in my life. It's a big part of the toolbelt that has made me live a very happy, comfortable life. When I think about why, it makes sense—words are what sway minds, inspire change and generate wealth. By writing, we become better speakers. We've reasoned through the arguments, the criticisms and the wording.
If you aren't writing somewhere today, what's holding you back?
